More hospitals are offering alternative treatments
— published: 12-21-2011A report from the Samueli Institute shows that more hospitals are offering complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) treatments. The survey, performed by the American Hospital Association, shows that 42% of hospitals offer CAM, mostly in the form of behavioral therapy (such as homeopathy, acupuncture, massage therapy, etc.). Inclusion of these treatments “reflect[s] hospitals’ desire to treat the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.” For more information, refer to the news release or read the full report.
