2013 Warrior Games
May 11-16. Over 200 wounded and injured service members and veterans will participate in this year’s Warrior Games. The Army, Marine Corps/Coast Guard, Air Force, and Special Operations teams will be joined by one international team from the UK to compete in seven sports throughout the week. Admission to the competitions is free and open to the public.

Shortage of sleep may contribute to weight gain

If you think that burning the midnight oil will also help you burn calories, think again. A recent study reported in Reuter’s Health suggests that lack of sleep may result in burning less calories and eating more food than when fully rested. So if you are trying to manage your weight, getting adequate sleep should be an essential part of your plan.
