SMART Goals worksheet for performance optimization

SMART goals help you apply the following goal-setting strategies to increase your chances of success and optimize your performance.

  • “Specific” goals help you know exactly what you want to accomplish, compared to “do your best” goals.
  • “Measurable” goals let you track your progress along the way.
  • “Achievable” goals help you set goals that are challenging but possible.
  • “Action-oriented” goals help you determine what you’ll actually do.
  • “Relevant” goals help you focus on how a goal applies to your personal and professional life.
  • “Time sensitive” goals help you meet a deadline. You might set a great goal, but if you keep waiting until “tomorrow” to start it—tomorrow never comes.

Use this worksheet to help make your goals SMART so you will set them—and achieve them.
