Dr. Jeff Leggit

Interim Executive Director

Dr. Jeff Leggit is the Interim Executive Director for the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) in the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine and a professor at the Uniformed Services University. He retired after 25 years of military service in the Army Medical Corps as a Colonel.

Dr. Leggit is a Board-certified Family Physician with a certificate of added qualification in Primary Care Sports Medicine as well as a medical acupuncturist. He currently serves in a variety of roles in the Family Medicine Department and the University. Dr. Leggit is the Vice Chair for the department and the Director of Healthcare Operations for the University Family Health Center. He also is the clinical module director for the Musculoskeletal Curriculum for the School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Leggit is one of the key faculty for the National Capital Consortium’s Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.
