Eating for health and performance requires the right balance of high quality foods. While the HPRC Power Plate provides a great visual representation of what a balanced plate looks like, you might still find it challenging to come up with ideas for meals. That is when you can use the Power Plate Food Index.
The Power Plate Food Index lists food options that match the various categories found on the Power Plate. You can refer to the Food Index when planning your weekly meals or grocery lists. You can print the Food Index and highlight the options from each category that you know you (and your household) enjoy to eat. Or you can just have it available for the moments your creativity is lacking you need some simple meal ideas. Hint: We find it’s easiest to start by choosing a protein source, then building the rest of your meal around that. The lists are not all inclusive, so be sure to add your favorites to the list as well!
